Survey methodology

Flywire commissioned Regina Corso Consulting to conduct a survey of adults in the United States who are luxury travelers to understand how they are thinking about travel now that travel is continuing to heat up in the New Year. The survey was conducted online between December 9 and 19, 2022.

This survey is among 612 U.S. adults:

  • 18 and older with a household income of at least $100,000 a year
  • Traveled at least twice during the past year for pleasure
  • Spend, on average, at least $5,000 per person on vacations considering accommodations, travel, meals and activities

Notes for reading charts and tables

Percentages may not add up to 100% due to rounding or because the question was a multiple response allowed item. Unless otherwise indicated, bases for all slides are of the total of 612 luxury travelers. Where possible, trends from the previous year’s survey among the same group are shown. For the generational breaks, the ages used are: Gen Z/Millennials=18-44, Gen X=45-60 and Boomers+=61+.
